About Ryan

IAVA was instrumental in writing, passing, and implementing the Post 9/11 GI Bill in 2008. Since that time, the organization has developed the only, one-of-a-kind, intuitive benefits calculator, supplemented with all the information you need to know about your benefits and how they work. With over 1.3 Million unique visitors, a robust FAQ section, and education blog, you can rest assured that we know what we're talking about! IAVA has imparted its institutional wisdom on its only education guru - Ryan Weemer. As an Iraq war veteran, Ryan utilized his Post-9/11 GI Bill, the Montgomery GI Bill, Vocational Rehabilitation, and various state grants and scholarships to earn his education. Over the past year and through IAVA's NewGiBill.org, Ryan has provided personal assistance to over 1,500 veterans and their families in understanding, obtaining, and maximizing the education opportunities they've earned.

Ryan was very friendly and helpful and although he didn't have all of the answers right at the tip of his tongue he followed up with an email sending me additional information and links to resources that I may be able to use.

I highly recommend Ryan's Helpout for any Veteran interested in learning what resources may be available for them to pursue their education!
